Booster Club Overview

Archbishop Bergan-St. Patrick’s Booster Club

Purpose: To promote and support all Archbishop Bergan Catholic School extra-curricular activities, school facilities, and transportation.

The St. Patrick’s-Archbishop Bergan Booster Club is made up of many members of the St. Patrick’s and Archbishop Bergan communities. It includes staff, parents, parishioners, and community people and businesses. We are the primary source of funding and support for all extra-curricular activities pertaining to Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools. The booster club provides:

• Funding for all PreK-12 school extra-curricular activities (athletic & fine arts)

* Uniforms, equipment, and supplies
* Officials/Judges and facilities fees
* Entry fees for all meets/tournaments/competitions
* Salaries for non-staff coaches/sponsors
* Annual fees for on-line video sharing service for all sports
* NSAA activities and membership fees
* Trophies, plaques, medals, and ribbons for tournaments/meets
* Lodging & meals for district/state competitors when applicable

• Funding for all transportation for all ECEC, PreK-12 school, and parish activities

* Fuel, maintenance, and repairs
* Purchases
* Inspections, licensing, and insurance
* Training, testing/screening, and wages for bus drivers

• Volunteer staffing for extra-curricular and fundraising events

* Gate workers/Ticket takers for all events
* Staffing for Booster Club golf tournament
* Staffing for Booster Club youth wrestling tournament
* Staffing for Wednesday night Bingo
* Hospitality room for holiday tournaments
* Staffing for Booster Club hot dog feed & appreciation social

• Support for activities of the Fremont community

* Sponsors YMCA youth teams and camps
* Supports YMCA Aquatics Center Campaign
* Supports Fremont recreational facilities
* Provides transportation for the Fremont Youth Leadership Academy

• Funding for education, training, and membership for coaches/sponsors

* Membership for all PAL/JH/HS coaches/sponsors in the Nebraska Coaches Association
* Funding for clinic fees and professional development for coaches/sponsors
* Fees for Archdiocesan safe environment training for non-staff coaches/sponsors

• Funding for the St. Patrick’s-Archbishop Bergan Athletic Hall of Fame

* Plaques, medals, & certificates for inductees
* Induction ceremony costs

• Funding for Athletic Training & Weight room

* Training room supplies
* Monthly cost for Fremont Health Athletic Training coverage
* Weight room equipment, supplies, and repairs
* Wages for supervisors of summer lifting/conditioning program

• Concessions for all home HS athletic events

• Extra-curricular activities funded by the booster club

* 4th, 5th, & 6th Grade PAL League teams – Volleyball & Basketball
* JH Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Wrestling, Basketball, Track
* HS Speech, One-Act Play, Spring Musical/Play Production, non-curricular expenses for Instrumental & Vocal Music
* HS Football, Cross Country, Volleyball, Golf, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball, and Track
* HS Soccer, Swimming, Softball, Tennis (NSAA & Co-op fees)

Governance: The booster club is under the authority of the Board of Education. Executive Committee meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month with the exception of June in which a general membership meeting and appreciation social is held on a date designated by the Executive Committee.
